Georgina joins The CW’s Mars Drama Project

Exciting news! Georgina is set as the female lead opposite Neal Bledsoe in The CW’s Untitled Mars Project pilot, from CBS TV Studios. Hopefully it will be really good and will get picked up by the network! Fingers crossed :)

Written by Doris Egan (Reign), the thriller follows an explorer team that arrives on Mars to join the first human colony on the planet, only to discover that their predecessors have vanished. Led by a woman whose husband is among the missing, the colonists are forced to change their mission from exploration and settlement to investigation and survival, while navigating the hostile planet and their own personal demons. Haig plays Gina Nolan, the mission’s botanist, a woman who is intense, motivated and sharp. Nolan’s a true explorer, believing it is the destiny of mankind to investigate the universe- but before she can become a Mars colonist, she must prove herself. Bledsoe plays Lewis, who’s charged with selecting members of the explorer team who will follow him to the Red Planet. Cast also includes Mouzam Makkar, Carl Beukes, Tongayi Chirisa and Peter Mark Kendall.

She’s known for playing Frozen‘s Elsa on Once Upon A Time. Other credits include a series regular role on Reckless, Fringe, and Never Tear Us Apart: The Untold Story of INXS. She currently recurs as Piper on CBS’ Limitless. Haig is repped by Paradigm Talent Agency and Sue Barnett & Associates.

Georgina Joins CBS Limitless!

CBS told exclusively that Limitless is adding a new character—and it’s played by someone genre TV fans will likely recognize. Here’s what CBS told them:

Georgina Haig is set for a recurring role as Piper. Per the producers, Piper was once like Brian, naive and sheltered—then she lost everything. Now, self-trained in many forms of combat, she has a mission to stop the man who took it from her—with Brian as either her ally or her enemy.

No word yet on when she’ll appear on the show, or for how many episodes. But be on the lookout for Piper, who sounds like she’ll be a loose canon that could kick some serious butt—which could spell either good news for Brian, or very bad news.

Georgina joins Syfy’s Incorporated Series!

Fringe and Once Upon a Time alum Georgina Haig has joined the cast of Syfy’s Incorporated, EW can exclusively reveal. The futuristic thriller set in 2062 centers on Ben Larson (Sean Teale, Reign), an executive “forced to change his identity in order to infiltrate a cut-throat corporate world,” reads a Syfy press release. Haig will portray his wife. Created by David and Alex Pastor, the series comes via Pearl Street Productions — Ben Affleck and Matt Damon’s production company — with CBS Television Studios and Universal Cable Productions.

“Incorporated provides us distinct insight into a world dictated by our decisions today,” said Affleck and Damon when the pilot was greenlit by Syfy in April. “Viewers will delve into the intricacies of our future, one that we are constantly warned of, but as a society have not yet explored.”

The series does not yet have a premiere date.
